Well we've been plugging away at Book Club Queen for 4.5 months now and have enjoyed every last minute of it. We weren't totally sure what direction the site would go in once we really got it up and running. Our only thought was that we wanted to bring the best book club info we could find including really good, honest reviews of books so that other readers could make an informed decision.
Early on we started thinking about reviewing and interviewing authors. Mamet, Hush Ma, got us started and it's just kept picking up from there. We've had the pleasure of interviewing Marc Leepson, Beth Harbison, Mike Monahan, and David James so far.
We have Dawn Rotarangi and M.J. Rose on deck and are really excited to be working with them.
The newest author we've just started working with is Kate Jacobs of The Friday Night Knitting Club. For me this is a very exciting development because she is a role model for me as a writer. Seems that she's just a regular gal who knew something about knitting and friendships and ended up writing a NY Times Bestseller! This is my dream someday. During the interview I hope to get the chance to ask her about what it takes to go from dreaming and brainstorm writing to finishing a successful novel.
For updates and to read our current interviews, Ask the Author.
