A freshmen in college, the world at my feet, on my own for the first time and putting my love for writing to good use in an English class led by an extraordinary teacher, Gardner Campbell.
It wasn't just about learning the art of composition, he understood that we were just starting to find out about who we wanted to be and what paths our learning might take us down. Little did I know all those years ago that I would end up an English teacher, website creator, and hopeful writer (in process these days). I do know that after "Stranded 101" as he called it, I went on to take all creative writing classes and of course every literature class I could get my hands on.
Just a salute to a fantastic teacher and a reminiscence of some of my beginnings....
